Led by a Registered Nurse · 25 years at the bedside
You can't always be there. We can.
Companionship, transport and holistic care for seniors and families across Pickering, Durham Region and the Greater Toronto Area.
More than help.
A hand to hold.
Our companions are called Tems
A Tem is not just a caregiver. They are the familiar face who remembers how you take your tea. The calm voice beside you at the doctor's office. The one who listens, really listens, and shows up without fail, week after week.
We don't choose our Tems lightly. Every one is background-checked, reference-verified, and chosen twice — once for their skills, and again for their character.
Care for every need
From a weekly visit to a ride to the doctor — the same warmth and the same standards throughout.

The right Tem, not just any Tem
We don't send whoever happens to be free. We consider temperament, language, faith and routine — the small things that decide whether someone feels like family or like a stranger in the house.
- Matched on temperament and routine
- Language and faith taken into account
- You meet them before care begins
- Not right? We change it, no charge
a Tem, warmly lit portrait
Vetted with real rigour
Every Tem clears a vulnerable sector police check, identity and credential verification, and a reference review before they ever reach your door. The standard we'd want for our own mother.
- Vulnerable sector police check
- Credentials verified at source
- References taken up in person
- Interviewed by our founder

Respite for the daughter, son or spouse who hasn't had a day off in months.
A different kind of care
What families tell us they were missing before they called.
Care in three simple steps
Tell us what's needed
A short, no-obligation conversation about your loved one, their routine, and what worries you most.
We match a Tem
We propose a companion suited to their temperament and yours, and arrange an introduction first.
Care begins
Visits start on an agreed schedule. You stay informed, and you can adjust or pause at any time.
What every family can expect
The same face each visit
Continuity is the whole point. You won't get a different stranger every week.
An honest answer first
If we aren't the right fit, or you need something clinical instead, we'll say so.
No awkward changes
If the match isn't right, tell us and we'll change it. No charge, no explanation needed.
Questions families ask
Can't find your answer? Call us — a real person picks up.
Talk to usIs this medical care?
Companion care is non-medical — company, practical help and support at home or in hospital. When you call, we'll tell you plainly whether we're what you need or whether something clinical is more appropriate.
Which areas do you cover?
We're based in Pickering and serve Durham Region and the Greater Toronto Area. If you're just outside, call anyway — we'll tell you honestly whether we can reach you.
What does it cost?
It depends on how often and how long. We give you a clear figure during the first conversation, with no assessment fee and no obligation.
Do we have to be a person of faith?
Not at all. Faith shapes how we serve, not who we serve. Chaplaincy and counselling are offered only to families who want them.
Can we meet the Tem first?
Yes, always. We arrange an introduction before care begins, and if the match isn't right we'll change it.
A safe place. A warm heart. Always here.
Whether it's one afternoon a week or a full care schedule, we'd be glad to talk it through with you.
